Have not seen Gail in many years but knew she and my sister Mebane were very involved in many groups and clubs together. Gail was loved by many, not only from years at PAGE but also from her involvment in the city. May she rest in peace.. I am blessed to have had the pleasure of being her friend.. Prayers to all of her family. Dee
Dee, How do I get in touch with you? Locke
could be wrong... Ledger Meyland would know for sure. He was his best friend.. I am pretty sure he would know the circumstances. The steering cable broke, he was thrown from the boat and .. well .. the propellor killed him.. enough said.... how is never the issue in this case ... THE LOSS IS WHAT TEARS OR TEAR'S ALL OF US ..
Jackie and I were roomates at Pfeiffer for our first semester. He was also on the basketball team. I enjoyed getting to know him better at Pfeiffer.. He was a great guy. Dee

Was a dear friend, and was my first friend to die at such an early age from a boating accident. Len and Leger, Vance and I were good friends.. Was a counselor at a boys camp when I learned of his death.. Will never forget the day or my friend.

Rubin was probably one of the most caring pediatricians I have ever known. I was truely blessed to have known him...
Some of our class were at Rubin's funeral. Rubin died they think of sleep apnea. Back then this was just being discovered in the medical world. Rubin had two daughters . He was Godfather to my oldest son.. Rubin and I were dear friends and I think of him often and miss him dearly...Dee Ham
I too share your feelings about loosing our beloved classmate Yvonne.. She as other minorities faced many challenges in those days as they still do today..What a shame to lose her at such a young age but we have lost others that were much too young to go... My heart still is torn when I remember the early death of Len McLendon and my best friend Rubin Manness.. May our dear lord bless all of thier souls...They were winners back then and they were winners when they left us... Dee
