John was my best friend during my senior year of High School. I looked up his obituary.. He died in March of 2004 in Wilmington NC. It says he was married for 31 years and had two sons. He was a retired teacher from Brunswick County School System as high and middle school band director. He majored in Music at Mars Hill. I hope everyone remembers his beautiful singing voice. The play Oklahoma remains one of my favorites.
